JoJo's Bizarre Risk: Stardust Crusaders (Japanese: ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 スターダストクルセイダース, Hepburn: JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Sutādasuto Kuruseidāsu ) is the 2nd season of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime by David Product, based on the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga series past Hirohiko Araki. Information technology is the second animated accommodation of the manga's third part, Stardust Crusaders, following an original video animation serial by A.P.P.P. that was released first in 1993 and connected afterwards in 2000.

This "Part" of the series is one of the most popular "Parts" of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The series aired for 48 episodes, split into two parts consisting of 24 episodes each.[1] The get-go part aired on Tokyo MX betwixt April v, 2014, and September 13, 2014, also syndicated on MBS, Animax, and other channels.[2] The second part, subtitled "Boxing in Egypt" ( エジプト編 , Ejiputo-hen , lit. "Egypt Affiliate" or "Egypt Saga"), aired between January 10, 2015, and June 20, 2015.[iii] [4] The series was simulcast outside of Asia on Crunchyroll's streaming services.[5] A preview of the English language dub of the outset three episodes was streamed on Crunchyroll on July v, 2014, tying in with its premiere at Anime Expo 2014.[6] The English dub began airing in North America on Adult Swim'south Toonami programming block from July 30, 2017.[seven] Viz Media released a Blu-ray set of the first 24 episodes, that includes English and Japanese audio with subtitles for the Japanese, in North America on July iii, 2018.[8]

Plot [edit]

In 1983, Dio, the vampiric enemy of Jonathan Joestar, emerges from the bottom of the Atlantic Body of water after stealing his archenemy's body.[9] Dio develops a manifestation of life energy known as a Stand up, causing Jonathan's descendants Joseph Joestar, Holly Kujo, and Jotaro Kujo[9] to too gain Stands in 1988. Holly, lacking the forcefulness to control her Stand, falls ill and is estimated to take fifty days left to live. Jotaro, Joseph, and fellow Stand users Muhammad Avdol and Noriyaki Kakyoin travel from Japan to Egypt to observe and kill Dio, which will free Holly from her Stand-induced affliction.[10] The grouping is later joined by Jean Pierre Polnareff, a former assassin of Dio's who seeks revenge on his sister's killer,[11] and a Stand user canis familiaris named Iggy.[12] Aided by Kakyoin, who reveals the nature of Dio's time-stopping Stand up The World in his last moments,[13] Jotaro kills Dio in Arab republic of egypt, allowing Holly to recover.[14]

Although teased at in the postal service-credit scenes of the kickoff season's finale, the second season of the JoJo anime was officially appear in October 2013 in the Nov 2013 issue of Ultra Spring and the fifth tankōbon volume of JoJolion.[17] [18] David Production revealed that as with the different art styles they used for the first flavor, which covered the Phantom Blood and Battle Trend arcs, they would be attempting a new art style with the Stardust Crusaders season.[xix] Takehito Koyasu reprises his function equally Dio from the previous season and Daisuke Ono reprises his role equally Jotaro Kujo from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle video game, merely all other characters were given new voice actors.[2]

Music [edit]

The opening theme for the starting time one-half of the season is "Stand up Proud", performed by Jin Hashimoto, while the catastrophe theme is American female popular rock band The Bangles' 1986 single "Walk Like an Egyptian".[a] The "Boxing in Arab republic of egypt" one-half of the season has new theme music, with the opening theme changed to "JoJo Sono Chi no Kioku ~finish of THE Globe~" ( ジョジョ その血の記憶~terminate of THE World~ , translated as "JoJo, That Blood's Memories ~End of the World~"), performed past the band "JO☆STARS ~TOMMY,Coda,JIN~" consisting of Hiroaki "Tommy" Tominaga, Coda, and Jin Hashimoto, each of whom had performed 1 of the serial' previous openings, while the catastrophe theme was changed to American jazz fusion ring Pat Metheny Grouping'southward "Last Train Dwelling house" from their 1987 album Still Life (Talking). Yet, episode 27 featured the unique ending theme song and animation sequence for "Aku-yaku Kyōsōkyoku" ( アク役♢協奏曲 , "Evil Concerto"), performed past Makoto Yasumura and Motoko Kumai as their characters Oingo and Boingo; a digital unmarried was released presently after broadcast.[20] This song was used again in episodes 36 and 37, this time performed past Hidenobu Kiuchi with Motoko Kumai, every bit the characters Hol Equus caballus and Boingo; a digital unmarried was released for this version of the song as well.
